June 7
An officer assisted New Mexico State Police on a call near the Adobe Ranch off Forest Road 169 at 12:30 p.m. A 61 year-old male subject hiking in the area had suffered a heart attack. Lifeguard was called with Magdalena Ambulance to assist. Personnel were coordinated to the area with GPS to locate the subject. The subject was transported to UNM hospital for treatment.

An officer arrested a male subject on Highway 169 at 5:15 a.m. for his third DWI offense. The subject was reported by a New Mexico Game and Fish officer who was on patrol. The driver was taken into custody and blew a .14 blood alcohol content level. Charges have been filed in Socorro Magistrate Court.

An officer took a report at 9 a.m. of a Criminal Damage To Property where cattle were put on private property after a gate was cut. The damage was about $7,500. The suspect was interviewed and the case has been turned over to the District Attorney for prosecution.

An officer took a report at 9 p.m. where a juvenile male subject lost control of his vehicle and struck a sign and a tree at the Magdalena Schools. The juvenile was able to contact the Magdalena Schools to repair the damages.

An officer stopped a vehicle for expired registration near mile marker 118 on Highway 60 at 3:28 p.m. The driver was found in possession of marijuana. The juvenile driver was taken to the Marshal’s office with another male to be charged. The vehicle was impounded for the traffic violation. Both were turned over to a parent.
